Roger F. Benton's Obituary
Decatur-Roger Benton, 54, of Springfield formerly of Decatur, passed away 10:35 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital emergency room.
There will be no services as per the request of Roger’s family and cremation rites were accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the Summit Avenue Baptist Church. Roger was born on April 27, 1955 in Decatur the son of Lester and Alice (Odom) Benton. He worked as a laborer at several area jobs and was a member of the Summit Avenue Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother Alice, his brother Rick Benton of Decatur; and his sister Ramona D. Grubaugh of Watertown, TN.
Roger was reunited in Heaven with his father, grandparents, and his brother Isaac.
