Roger Dial's Obituary
Roger A. Dial, 67, of Decatur died August 25, 2022 at Calre Foundation Hospital in Champaign IL.
Roger was a trickster at heart. He was an avid sports fan “Go Cubs Go” and also enjoyed the Illini football games with his brother Alivn.. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His true loves in life were his family, his church and his Lord. He was the best father and grandfather any child could have. He enjoyed his Christmas shopping with his sisters and a lot of good memories were made during these outings. He retired from Armark Uniform Services and was a union steward for many years. He will be greatly missed for mischievous ways and his signature phrase “Bang Zoom to the moon”.
Surviving is his wife, Kathy of Decatur, children, Corey Dial, Travis Harrington and Melinda (Wade) Zerfowski; grandchildren, Avery, Jaxson and Mason; brothers, Dale (Darlene), Gene and Alvin (Nancy) Dial; sisters, Sue White, Ruby Fear and Sharon (Richard) Frazier as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Proceeded in death by his parents Henery and Ruby Dial, brothers, Gerald and Dennis Dial.
A visitation for Roger will be held at Glad Tidings Church on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will also be at Glad Tiding Church at 10am on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 with a burial at Boiling Springs Cemtery to follow.
In Lieu of flowers donation can be made to Glad Tidings Church in Rogers honor.
