Ronald "Petie" Beasley's Obituary
Ronald “Petie” Beasley, 61, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 14, 2020, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Petie was born September 12, 1958, in Decatur, to Lawrence Lee and Marjorie Marie (Harris) Beasley. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Petie loved to cook and he was also an amazing handyman that enjoyed helping everyone.
He is survived by his daughter, Charity Beasley; his step-son, Ron Comage and his step-daughter, Shavonda Comage; his granddaughter, Camorre Beasley; five sisters, Shirley (Lynell) Williams, Linda (Joseph) Tracy, Brenda (Wayne) Taylor, Doreen (Raymond) Phillips, Rhonda (Danny) Williams; four brothers, Londale (Matilda) Beasley, Kennath (Shirley) Beasley, Calvin (Roni) Beasley and Jereland Beasley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Christopher Tyler Beasley and his brother, Lawrence Lee Beasley, Jr.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Petie will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home for the immediate family. Visitation for the general public, will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, before the service at the funeral home. CDC guidelines will be followed and facial masks are required.
