Ronald Lee Long's Obituary
Ronald Lee Long, 88, of Moweaqua, passed away February 3, 2023, at Moweaqua Rehabilitation and Health Center.
Ronald was born in Decatur on January 5, 1935, the son of Eberling and Marguerite (Williams) Long. He married Patricia Newcome on May 11, 1973, in Chicago. Ron was a wholesale liquor salesman. He was an avid participant in antique car shows, earning trophies that filled his garage. He loved country music and enjoyed singing.
Ron is survived by his wife Patricia of Moweaqua; son Randy (Mary) Long of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter Sherri (Reginald) Batten of Prescott, Arizona; grandchildren Tara (Jeremy) Osborn, Brooke Frazee, Rollin Batten, Amanda Long, Stephanie (Colton) Turner, and Andrew (Brianna) Wales; seven great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Lily. He was preceded in death by his parents.
