Decatur- Ronald L. Smith, 63, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at home with his family at his bedside.
Per Ron’s wishes, cremation will be accorded at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Ron was born September 16, 1948 in Decatur, Illinois the son of William and H. Eileen Smith. Ron owned his own construction business for many years. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, H. Eileen Mullins; sons, Timothy (Julia) Smith, and Cannon Smith, both of California; daughters, Julie (Bob) Glenn of Ohio, and Shannon Lugo of California; brother, David Mullins of Decatur; sisters, Marla Galligan of Decatur, Karen (Randy) Zilz of Maroa, Faye (Mike) Crane, Kaye (George) Bunn, and Debra (Marvin) Schuette, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two sons, one brother, and one sister.
