Ronald Lloyd White's Obituary
Ronald Lloyd White, 74, of Decatur, IL, passed away February 2, 2019 at Moweaqua Rehab and Health Center.
Ron was born July 26, 1944 in Decatur, IL, the son of Lloyd Arthur and Loretta (Kerr) White. He married Sonja Utsler, August 2, 1969 in Mt. Zion, IL. Together they had two daughters. She preceded him in death, March 3, 1989. He later was wed to Joan Davis and they were married from August 1989 – August 2011.
Ron was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving as an Air Policeman. After his military service, he served the City of Decatur Police Department, proudly serving from October 1970 to October 1995 and the Decatur Park District Police Department from 2000 – 2014.
He enjoyed golfing and did enjoy gambling.
Surviving are his children, Jackie Wertman (Dave) of Paris, IL; Kathy White (Art Byczynski) of Decatur, IL; sister, Carol Brown (Larry) of Blue Mound, IL; grandchildren, Samantha, Serina, Alexandra and Brendan and special cat “Dusty”.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory.
