Ronda L. England's Obituary
Decatur – Ronda L. England, 74, of Forsyth, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth.
Ronda was born April 15, 1942 in Decatur, the daughter of William and Vivian Adams. She married Ronald D. England on September 9, 1967 in Decatur.
Ronda graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School, where she enjoyed her time playing in the band. She later attended Millikin University before graduating from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.
Ronda served on the Decatur Public Library Foundation Board and as the Park Place Association’s President. She was a certified Professional Secretary and was active in Professional Secretary Association for years. Ronda worked for over 19 years for A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company (Tate & Lyle), moving to National City Bank, and finally retiring from Busey Bank to work part-time for Covenant Wealth Management/LPL Financial.
Ronda enjoyed traveling after her retirement. She visited Australia, Egypt, England, Hawaii, Ireland, and Italy. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Decatur where she enjoyed singing in the choir. When she was home she enjoyed tending to her flower garden.
Surviving are her son, David and daughter-in-law Lisa (Jones), her brother Edwin Adams and his wife Joy, her sister Norma and her husband Robert Rogers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronda was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her father and mother-in-law Clifford and Esther England.
The family would like to thank Hickory Point Christian Village, in Forsyth, IL for the loving care they provided her.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, October 10, 2016 in the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 1 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the funeral home, Pastor Matthew Versemann officiating. Interment for family only will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
