Rosemary L. Reinhold's Obituary
Decatur – Rosemary Lucille Osburn Reinhold, 93, of Decatur, left this earth to enter Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, July 28, 2014.
She was born in Pana, IL, on February 14, 1921, the daughter of John Arthur and Ruth (Hutchens) Osburn. Rosie worked at the Signal Depot during WWII, attended Halford Beauty Salon and later had her own Rosie’s Beauty Shop in South Shores. She was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church where she attended services regularly. Rosie married Robert Reinhold in 1943 during WWII and he preceded her in death. Rosie had one brother, John Arthur Osburn, Jr., who is also deceased, as well as her parents. John Arthur Jr’s wife, Millie survives, as well as several of Rosie’s nieces.
Rosie was a fanatic Cardinal Baseball Team fan and enjoyed watching them play at Busch Stadium. She also enjoyed watching the Illinois Fighting Illini Basketball Team at the Assembly Hall or on television.
Services to celebrate Rosie’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church; there will be no visitation. Burial will take place at a later date in Oconee, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or the American Red Cross.
