Roy A. Leming's Obituary
Mt. Zion-Roy A. Leming, 71, of Mt. Zion, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Roy's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Roy was born November 21, 1939 in Decatur, the son of Carl F. and Helen M. (Athens) Leming. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was employed at Caterpillar retiring in 1995 after more than thirty years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #751 and the Moose Lodge #684. He married Nancy Spanhook July 15, 1962.
He leaves behind Nancy, his beloved wife of over forty-eight years, children, Rhonda Blubaugh and husband Steve of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ryan Leming and wife Mieko of Iwakuni, Japan, brother, Jack Leming and wife Carole of Decatur, grandchildren, Curtis and Clint Hudson, Evan Blubaugh and Echo and Emmy Leming, sister-in-law, Mary Leming of Decatur, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, brothers, Carl Jr. and Larry Leming, and sisters, Bonnie Underwood and Ellen Miner.
