Roy Luckenbill's Obituary
Roy Luckenbill, 86, of Decatur passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Roy was born on October 17, 1927 in Decatur the son of Albert Henry and Georgia Ann (Hurst) Luckenbill. He served his country proudly in the USMC from 1944-1946. He was retired from home construction and Hooker Glass & Paint. He married Martha Ann Johnson on May 23, 1953 in Decatur. She preceded him in death on June 9, 1990.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Luckenbill of Decatur, and special niece, Nancy Zlotek (Larry) of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and four sisters.
Paula would like to thank Dr Edwards-Tally and staff of Wabash Memorial Hospital, Dr. Trachenberg, Eagle Ridge Staff, and McKinley Court Nursing home Staff for all their care. She would also like to thank Howard Bouy for being such a good friend.
He was a wonderful dad and will be deeply missed.
Graveside service celebrating Roy’s life will be 2 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2014 Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Macon County Animal Shelter.
