Roy M Ousley's Obituary
Roy M. Ousley 94, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday July 26, 2016 in Hickory Point Christian Village.
Roy was born June 10, 1922, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Roy M. and Ola (Wendel) Ousley. He owned and operated Martin’s Jewelry and Art Dealers for over forty years. He was a member of the Moundford Free Methodist Church, former member of Decatur Country Club, President of the Board of Mutual Bank, Illinois Jeweler Association, Decatur Gun Club, and Kiwanis Club of Decatur. He enjoyed shooting skeet, golfing, and was a master gardener. He married Donna Thomas on July 10, 1982 in Monticello, Illinois. They were married for thirty-four years.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Ousley of Forsyth; sons, Mark Ousley of Decatur, Robert (Andrea) Wilber of Maroa; daughters, Mary Ann (Lowell) Watson of Austin, TX, Gina (Bill) Grider of Argenta, IL., Christie (Toby) Stinson of Moweaqua, IL; brother, John Robert (Ann) Ousley of Fairfield, CA; grandchildren, Kimberly (Robert) Watson-Hemphill, Rachel Grider, David Grider, Kyle Stinson, Brooke Stinson, Alyssa Stinson, Reilly Wilber, Kolby Wilber, Lucy Wilber, Amya Grider; great-grandchildren, Ian, Kierra, Faith, and Justice.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Helen Martin Ousley, brothers, Jacob Ousley, Frank Ousley, sister, Rebecca Ousley.
A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Monday, August 1, 2016 in Moundford Free Methodist Church, 1803 E Mound Rd, Decatur, IL 62526. Visitation will be held one our prior to the services at the church. A private entombment service will be held for the family, prior to the services at the church, at the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Memorials may be directed to the Moundford Free Methodist Church.
