Ruby Fae Trimmer's Obituary
Decatur-Ruby Fae Trimmer, 72, of Canton formerly of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Heartland Manor in Canton.
Ruby was born June, 7, 1943, in Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Clarence and Ruby Lorriane Bocock Jr. She was raised in Decatur, Illinois and graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School. She was a devoted homemaker. Ruby was a former girl scout and member of the Young Army Mothers, Mound Chapel Church of God where she helped with Sunday school, and WCSC all in Decatur and the home league with the Salvation Army in Canton. She enjoyed doing ceramics and crafts with her friends. She was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. She married Marlynn Dale Trimmer December 29, 1962. He preceded her in death September 30, 2002.
Ruby leaves behind her daughters Marla F. Conder (Brian), Beverly K. Ruckle (Steve), Kellie M. Trimmer (Paul Pappas), grandchildren Heather Ruckle, Nathan Ruckle, Dale K. Trimmer, and Dennis L. Jones III (Lissa), step-grandson Brad Fyke (Mary), great-granddaughters Riley and Skyler Jones, four step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Ruth Hustell, Judy Cantrell, and Martin from Canton.
Ruby was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, brother Charles Raymond Bocock, sisters-in-law Elnor George and Rose Ann Trimmer, brothers-in-law Kenneth Trimmer, Donald Trimmer, and M.D. George, one niece, and cat Tippie.
Services to celebrate Ruby’s life will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
