Ruth Helen Frazier's Obituary
Decatur – Ruth Helen Frazier, 95, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.
Ruth was born June 30, 1928, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Harold Joseph and Rosina Margaret (Miller) Ezekiel. Ruth and her husband Lee were charter members of Our Lady of Loudes Catholic Church. At the time of Ruth’s death, she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where she served as a greeter and extra ordinary minister. She worked at Taylor Pharmaceutical for over 21 years. She enjoyed attending daily mass, driving her car, and going to The Little Theatre On The Square in Sullivan, IL. Ruth married Leland Frazier on August 21, 1948, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1996.
Surviving are her children: Steven (Marjorie) Frazier of Decatur, Harold (Mary Kay) Frazier of Kansas City, MO, John (Kathleen) Frazier of Decatur, and Thomas (Judy) Frazier of Decatur, Patricia Kates of Decatur, and Ruth Ann (Michael) Sorini of Salem; 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lois Ludka of MD; sister-in-law, Alice Ezekiel of NC; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10am until the mass time of 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
