Granny Ruth married James Bollhorst June 10, 1967 and they enjoyed forty-five years together. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and appreciated their continued cards, visits, and thoughts which were extended after her nursing home placement. Granny was a proud participant of the 'Hookers' Guild in which she sold, donated and gifted her crochet materials. She was an excellent seamstress. She and Jim enjoyed their gardening and canning of fresh vegetables and fruits which she graciously shared with everyone. She enjoyed playing Euchre at the American Legion in Taylorville and eating as many hot fudge sundaes as she wanted stating 'I am 100 years old and I should get to eat what I want at this age.'
She leaves behind her husband James, son Leland Goin and wife Vera of Lampasas, Texas, grandchildren Ruth Kopec and husband Jim, Paul Morgan, and Dawne Lyons and husband Lewis, great-grandchildren Guy Harminson, Shawn Kopec, and Brittany Morgan, great-great-granddaughter Nevaeh Harminson, adopted granddaughter and special friend Sheila McClung, and special friends Gail Barnes, Marta Jones, Paul and Shirley Bollhorst, and Earl and Wanda Bollhorst.

Granny Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was so appreciative of everything that was done for her. Her smile was contagious. Granny was simply one of the kindest, honest and most loving individuals God graciously placed on this Earth. She will be missed by those who loved her and those who knew her.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Drs. G. and D. Patel who cared for Granny prior to moving to Manor Court of Clinton and Dr. Britt Williams who cared for her since nursing home placement. Also thank you to those at Manor Court of Clinton who showed compassion and love to granny.
