Ruth O. Price's Obituary
Decatur-Ruth O. Price, 89, of Decatur, reunited with her son, Lowell and her daughter, Martha in their heavenly home at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Lincoln Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side.
Ruth was born August 26, 1921, in Decatur, and was the tenth child of Gustav and Louise (Klemachefski) Duda. Through out her entire life, Ruth gave service to those in need. Her friendly smile and caring way was bestowed on many patients and staff as she fulfilled her duties as housekeeper and dietary specialist in several hospitals in both Decatur hospital and Tuscola. She was also an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and found great joy in praising her Lord through song as a long time member of the church choir.
She leaves behind to cherish countless memories and love her son, Richard (Lillian) Price of New York; daughter-in-law, Dianne Price of Decatur; 12 grandchildren (and their extended families).
To continue her example of service, in lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Ruth's Memory to the Support Our Troops Organization in care of Grace United Methodist Church, 901 N. Main Street, Decatur.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the entire staff of Lincoln Manor Nursing Home for taking such wonderful care of our loved one, Ruth these past five years.
