S. Diane (Speagle) Walton's Obituary
S. Diane (Speagle) Walton, of Decatur, Illinois, age 63 died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 5th, 2016, at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Sheri “Diane” was born on November 30, 1952, in Decatur Illinois, the daughter of Kenneth Leroy Speagle and Helen Wanda (Shepherd) Speagle. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1971 and earned an associate’s degree from Richland Community College. Throughout her life, she loved so many people, and touched so many lives in a way that is indescribable. She loved to travel and visited many foreign countries. She loved antiquing, hunting for fossils, and had amassed a collection of items from her adventures.
She is survived by her mother, Wanda; son, Brad; her grandchildren, Kirsten, Alyson, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Harlowe, Harrison, and Emery; brothers, Stephen Speagle, Eddie Speagle, and Gordon Speagle. She had many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her dearly, including Leilani Campbell and Ed Walton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth and sister, Sharon Jennings.

A celebration of life for Diane will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. www.stjude.org.
