Sandra Brinkley's Obituary
Decatur-Sandra Brinkley of Decatur passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born September 23, 1946 in Beardstown, IL the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Logan) Ragan. She retired from Walgreen's after working for 29 years. She graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in 1964. She married Larry Brinkley on October 22, 1981 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2001.
Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (Havener) Altig and husband James of Latham; Rhonda (Havener) Laux and husband Clay of Pearl; mother, Mary Ragan of Decatur; brothers, Terry Ragan of Shelbyville; Gary Ragan (Sherrie) of Decatur; sisters, Brenda Patrick of Decatur; Carolyn Stone of Decatur; grandchildren, Amber Spaur (Zack); Megan Laux; Heather Altig; Thomas Altig; Rebecca Altig; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Brayden, and Jazmyn; and several, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Sandra's life will be 5:00 ' 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to DMH Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
