Sandra M. Cummings' Obituary
Sandra M. Cummings, 82, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Imboden Gardens.
Sandra was born December 8, 1935 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Martin) Swim. She worked at Millikin University. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Kiwaniannes. Sandra enjoyed crocheting and volunteering with the Linus Project, Baby Talk, and the hospital. She married Ned Cummings on November 8, 1953. They shared over sixty-four years together.
Sandra leaves behind her husband Ned, daughters Karen Sivils, Sharon (Matthew) Sekosky, and Carol Frantz, one sister Carol Filo, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one daughter Barbara Cummings.
The family will be hosting a memorial service at 6 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3465 N MacArthur Rd Decatur. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
