Sandra Dorsey-Marrone's Obituary
Sandra Dorsey-Marrone, 73, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Forsyth, Illinois. She was born on June 18, 1952, in Canton, Illinois, to Donald and Beverly (Spiva) Lehman, who preceded her in death.
Sandy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of many. She spent more than 20 years working at Carle Hospital and Clinic, where she was known for her dedication and caring spirit toward both patients and colleagues.
Sandy had a passion for thrifting and reselling, always enjoying the thrill of discovering hidden treasures, always taking pride in finding unique items and giving them new life. It was a hobby that brought her satisfaction and something she enjoyed sharing with others. Above all, she was deeply committed to supporting her children and grandchildren in their many sports and activities, rarely missing a game, performance, or event. Being present for her family was one of the most important parts of her life.
She was previously married to Thomas Dorsey, with whom she had two children, Hayli and Luke. She later married David Marrone, and together they welcomed daughters Molly and Marissa. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Chris Lehman of Fisher, Illinois; her daughter, Hayli Peterson of Henderson, Nevada; her son, Luke (Andrea) Dorsey of Forsyth, Illinois; her daughter, Molly Marrone (Beau Agnello) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and her daughter, Marissa (Adam) Fichter of Ames, Iowa.
She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Reagen Thompson and Corridon and Kellan Peterson of Henderson, Nevada; Jonathan, Julia, and William Dorsey of Forsyth, Illinois; Gus and Cy Agnello of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Corrine, Heaven, and Claire Fichter of Ames, Iowa.
Sandy will be remembered for her deep love of family, her kindness, and the many memories she created with those she loved. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who will carry her spirit with them always.
Arrangements are in the care of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
