Sandra Carol Jennings' Obituary
Sandra C. (Brilley) Jennings was born on April 20, 1941. On July 1, 2025, Sandy’s life ended peacefully here with us.
Sandy, a devoted Catholic, graduated from St. Teresa High School in 1959 and remained a proud Bulldog alumna throughout her life.
She married Ron Jennings on September 14, 1973. They shared five children together.
Sandy, always a hard worker, had several occupations on her resume. At the top of the list was Owner of Pickett Fences - a store, located on Decatur’s historic Merchant Street, full of crafts handmade by her and her favorite crafters. Sandy eventually retired for the Macon County Health Department.
Sandy enjoyed monthly Bunko and lunches with lifelong friends. Sandy loved to shop, especially at Dollar Tree with a stop at McDonald’s for a Diet Coke and a McChicken. She also enjoyed being at home and watching Everybody Loves Raymond every evening.
Sandy was kind, caring, and generous to others, helping where she could. She supported 911 Memorial, Alzheimer’s Walk, DOVE Inc, Kiwanne’s, Race for the Cure, Salvation Army Angel Tree, The Senior Center, and The Oasis by volunteering, giving donations and offering love.
The most important thing to Sandy was her family. She loved each of them unconditionally and in her own special way. Her love will always be a part of and carry on through them. Sandy’s last week was filled with love as she brought together her cherished family.
Sandy is survived by daughters Tina Ielase (Tony), Tina Garrett (Doug), Krystal Kracht (Joe), Ashley Petrie (Robert); 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Susie Peck (Jim) and Cel Heinrich (Patrick), brother Bob Brilley, sister-in-law Linda Brilley, brother-in-law Roger Heinrich; two nieces and one nephew.
