Sandra Johnson's Obituary
Sandra Marie (Day) Johnson, 70, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sandy was born July 6, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Harold Frankie and Eileen Frances (Bertram) Day. She married Norman Johnson on June 21, 1968 in Logan, Utah. Sandy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as compassionate service leader in the Relief Society of the Decatur 2nd Ward and volunteered for Project Linus. She enjoyed tatting, reading and quilting.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norman; five children, Adam (Kellie) Johnson, Regina (Vincent) DeDominicis, Sherlyn Linschoten, Alicia Atkins and Seth (Rachel) Johnson; her twelve grandchildren; her brother, Walter Harold (Linda) Day; and her sister, Winifred “Winnie” Denny.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Sandy Johnson will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Project Linus or Missionary Fund at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
