Sandra L. Potter's Obituary
Decatur – Sandra L. Potter, 60, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born October 29, 1958, in Decatur, the daughter of Nyland and Velma (Rhoades) Stivers.
Surviving are her husband, John Potter; her ex-husband, James Sater of Cicero; her daughters, Cassandra (Stephen) Shinsako of Cicero; Sarah (Jakob Lofland) Sater of Decatur; Josiah (Rose) Sater of Jacksonville, Florida; her brothers, Fred (Cheryl) Stivers of Louisville, Kentucky; Paul (Gail) Stivers of Illinois; Robert “Wayne” (Tamera) Stivers of Decatur; her sisters, Esther (Mark) Krein of Sweetwater, Tennessee; Joyce (Lavern) Downen of Decatur; and Bonnie (Robert) Ammann of Macon; three grandchildren, Franklin, Kaidince, Caree. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandchlid, MaKayLynne; a brother, Carroll Dean; and a sister-in-law, Candy.
Sandra was a student of the Moweaqua class of 1977. Sandra loved going to thrift shops. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will always be known for helping others and her homemade barbecue. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church in Macon.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Sandra will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
