Sharon Delores Ralph's Obituary
Decatur-Sharon Delores Ralph, 80, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur with her family by her side.
She was born November 7, 1933 in Decatur, the daughter of George and Verna (Crawford) Shaw. She retired from the USPS where she was a clerk and sorter. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her children Diana (Richard) Younkers of Petersburg, Kathy (Jim) Minor of Lovington, Daniel Ralph of Decatur, Laura (Roy) Godfrey of Decatur, Kenny Ralph of Decatur, Rosanne Adams of Assumption, Christopher (Kelly) Ralph of Decatur, and Julie (Bob) Gillmore of Petersburg, brother Don (Marilyn) Shaw of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister Charlene Housh of Montpelier, Ohio, and several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son John Ralph III, grandson Corey Ralph, three brothers, and five sisters.
The family would like to especially thank the entire staff and Legacy Department at Evergreen Village for all of their loving care.
Graveside services to celebrate Sharon’s life will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s or Diabetes Foundations.
