Sharon Mae Stinson's Obituary
Decatur-Sharon Mae Stinson, 75, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Imboden Creek Living Center.
Sharon was born June 13, 1942 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Robert E. Ravenscraft and Edna Mae (Griffiths) Ravenscraft Arnold. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved her pets, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Sharon married Silas Ray Stinson October 31, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Sharon leaves behind her sons Toby (Christie) Stinson of Moweaqua and Jeff (Kristy) Stinson of Finday, grandchildren Stephanie Stinson, Josh Stinson, Rae Lynn Stinson, Kyle Stinson, Brooke Stinson, and Alyssa Stinson, great-grandchild Addie Stinson, niece Debe Adkins, special friend and neighbor Mary Kester, and many nephews and nieces.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Imboden Creek Living Center and the Radiology Department at St. Mary’s especially Kathy and Jamie for all of their loving care.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Graveside services to celebrate Sharon’s life will immediately follow in Graceland Cemetery with Rev. Tina Parnell-Miller officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Decatur Macon County Animal Shelter.
