Shirley J. Goodman's Obituary
Decatur-Shirley J. Goodman, 78, of Tuscon, Arizona, formerly of Decatur and Clinton, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Desert Villas in Tuscon with her family by her side.
Graveside services to celebrate Shirley's life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Shirley was born January 6, 1932 in Decatur, the daughter of Elvin and Thelma (Gilbert) Bahlow. She was a devoted homemaker. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed music and dancing. She married David Goodman August 27, 1949 in Decatur. He preceded her in death January 2, 2003.
She leaves behind her sons; Steve Goodman and wife Debbie of Decatur and Greg Goodman and wife Debra of Tuscon, Arizona, daughter; Kay Annette Steward and husband Bill of Clinton, brother; Tom Bahlow of Villages, Florida, grandchildren; Steve Goodman, Jr., Craig Goodman, Bill Steward, Jr., Kelli Steward, and Jamie Steward, and four great-grandchildren; her niece Marcia and her nephew Randy.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents and husband.
