Sidney L. Lill's Obituary
Forsyth – Sidney L. Lill, 67, of Forsyth, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family.
Sidney was born on October 15, 1948 in Decatur, IL the son of Loren and Helen (Culp) Lill. He attended Elwin United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Lakeview High School and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War achieving the rank of SP4. Sidney raced stock cars for 25 years and worked as a Teamster for 40 years retiring in 2010. He married Linda A. Clayton June 27, 1999 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife, Linda of Forsyth; children: Tonya (John) Hanks of GA, and Tony (Cynthia) Lill of AL; step-children: Wendy St. Cyr of Decatur and Tony Clayton of Decatur; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister, Shirley Lill of Decatur.
The family will host a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Elwin United Methodist Church. Military rites will be performed at 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation, 5841 S. Maryland Ave., MC 1140, Chicago, IL 60637.
