Stanford L. England's Obituary
Stanford England passed away on Friday afternoon January 12, 2018 with family by his side.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the mausoleum.

Stanford was born on March 30, 1918 in Harristown, Illinois to Leland and Faye England.
Stanford spent his life as a farmer and caretaker of his family farms in Piatt and Macon County and he had a sincere and lifelong commitment to his community.
He was a Deacon, Elder and member of 60 years at Decatur Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was President of the Macon County Farm Bureau and the Macon County Conservation District and served on the Macon County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. He chaired the American Farm Bureau Soybean Research Committee and was Director of the Illinois Farm Bureau Marketing Committee. Stanford was Commissioner of the Lake Fork Drainage District and served 2 terms on the Village of Warrensburg Board of Trustees. He was affiliated for 50 years with Masonic Lodge 312, Knight’s Templar, Ansar Temple, Decatur Shrine Club and was a lifelong member of the Decatur Country Club and Decatur Club.
Stanford had a steadfast devotion to his family. He married Rachel C. Wilbur in June of 1942 in Decatur Illinois and they shared 65 inseparable years together as partners and best friends.
He is survived by two children: David (Linda) England, Philip (Sandra) England; grandchildren: Lisa (Jim) Miller, Christy Spilberg, Jon (Tracy) England, Valerie England, Jessica Haupt, Martin (Nancy) Bryson; great-grandchildren: Nicholas Miller, Brandt Miller, Erik Haupt, Morgan Haupt . Stanford was preceded in death by his wife; brother Marshall (Cathy) England, beloved son Charles and daughter in law Carol England.
Stanford had the love and caring of all his family, friends and caretakers through a difficult time. We are grateful for that support. Thank you to everyone concerned.
