My heart-felt condolences to the family of Stan. I knew Stan rather briefly when he resided at Helia Healthcare of Champaign sometime ago.Stan was a very gentle and personable gentleman. He loved to sit and chat. He always loved it when I'd rub his back or massage his feet!! We prayed together a couple times. He said that was a comfort to him and seemed to have a calming affect, he said. Stan loved the CUBS and the BEARS and it was obviously identified by the clothes and items in his room. Stan kept mostly to himself, but would engage in some group activities when encouraged to do so and seemed to enjoy that most of the time.Stan always had a great and gentle smile for other residents and nursing staff…….Stan was a very nice person to know!
