Stella Morgan's Obituary
Decatur-Stella Lou Morgan, went to be with the love of her life, Curt, at 1:00 pm in her home surrounded by her family.
Stella was born in Macon, IL on February 12, 1935 the daughter of Rolla and Ruth (Goin) Bollhurst. She attended Macon High School. She married Paul Curtis 'Curt' Morgan on April 5, 1959. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1989.
Through her life she worked as a bookkeeper before retiring from Donnelley's Automotive. She enjoyed her passion for traveling after her retirement with trips around the United States, Australia, China, New Zealand and the Panama Canal. She was a member of the WWII 729th 'SOXO' Railroad Battalion.
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Ruth Kopec and husband Jim, their son Shawn; son Paul Curtis Morgan, Jr. and his daughter Brittany, her daughter Clara Dawne Lyons and husband Louis, son Guy Curtis Harminson and wife Ashley; great-granddaughter Nevaeh Harminson,; Stella's parents Jim and Ruth Bollhust, her brother Leland Goin and wife Vera and adopted daughter and friend Sheila McClung.
Stella was preceded in death by her biological father Rolla Goin and her brother Roger Goin.
Stella requested no visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private graveside services are scheduled at Graceland Cemetery. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting Stella's family with these arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the WWII 729th 'SOXO' Railroad Battalion, % Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur, IL 62526.
