Dr. Stephen Louis George's Obituary
Decatur – Dr. Stephen Louis George, 68, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Dr. George was born June 13, 1946 in Aurora Illinois. He was the only child of Louis and Virginia (Johnson) George. He was the loving husband and companion of Linda K. George for 29 years. He was the father of Andrew and Anthony George both of Portage Wisconsin, Stepfather of Brandie Martinez of Rolling Meadows, Illinois and Grandfather of Fallon and Erin Barry of Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
He graduated from Aurora High School West. Dr. George earned a full scholarship to the University of Illinois, but chose to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned his PhD in History of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. George was a world changer and history maker. He took ordinary people and taught them to be healers and leaders. He was a Professor at Millikin University and Full Professor at Richland Community College. Dr. George was a Professor of chemistry, philosophy, math and math for nurses.
Dr. George gave his heart to the Lord. He was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. He became a Prayer Intercessor during his illness. As a result of his salvation, he joined his mother and father in Heaven.
