He was my stepfather and I owe a lot of who I am to him. He was a good man and he will be missed. Rest in Peace.
He was a great person to talk to he always cheered u up when u were down
I met Steve shortly after I moved to Decatur. He was a bus driver. We loved him. My kids and I love to ride his bus . He was so friendly and nice. I haven't lived in Decatur in 9 years I think I saw him maybe twice when I come to visit. My heart goes to all his family. I know Aaron's death was very hard on him. You're in my heart and I'll keep you in my thoughts. He was surely an awesome guy.
So sorry to learn of Steve's passing. Steve was a good neighbor and I am grateful for our shared memories and good years. Steve made easy friends with many as he walked his beloved pets Peewee & Penny about their neighborhoods. My sympathy is with Steve's family during this difficult time. Steve, you are a good man and may you now rest in eternal peace. Until we meet again, thanks for your kindness.
To the family, I work with Steve at Firestorm until plant close, we always messing with each other. He was a fun guy to be around. When he started working for City Bus he would always blow horn at me . We had some great times laughing and teasing each other. Rest in peace my friend 🙏💙Carol Estes

I remember Steve well, I was good friends with his sister Diane and had such a crush on him in high school. I went to Prom without a date and Steve was kind enough to have his picture taken with me. I have lost touch with Diane over the years but think of our great times together in high school and seeing Steve often when at their house.
