Terence Gene May's Obituary
Terence Gene May, 76, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Terence was born July 29, 1944, in Decatur, to James and Dorothy (Fulk) May. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Carolyn Summar on July 6, 1964, in Decatur. She passed away November 9, 2013.Terence was a member of the Soy City Pistol Club and was an associate member of the Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed shooting, motorcycle riding and camping.
He is survived by his three children, Timothy (fiancée, Jennifer Govro) May, James May and Tammy (Brooks) Phillips; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; his sister, Cheryl (James) Woods; and his brother, Russ McConkey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn and his great-granddaughter, Isabella Garcia.
Visitation services to celebrate the life of Terence May will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to CAMP I AM ME – Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, 426 W NW Highway, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
