Terri Lynn Ahrens' Obituary
DECATUR- Terri Lynn Ahrens, 45 of Decatur, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening at her home.
Graveside service to celebrate Terri’s life will be held at 10 am Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, conducted by Pastor Keith Jenkins. The “Flight Home” Ceremony will conclude the services. There will be no visitation. The family requests casual dress for the services. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society. Terri was born on February 29, 1964 in Decatur, a daughter of Melvin Ernest and Mary (Patterson) Ahrens. She previously had worked at Caterpillar, TCCI and ADM. Terri loved to play bingo, drawing, gardening and she loved all animals especially her faithful “Yorkies”. The highlight of Terri’s life was spending time with her nieces and nephews who were all her special “Buddies”.
Surviving are her parents: Melvin and Mary Ahrens of Decatur, brothers and sisters: Cheryl Parks and husband Jim of Decatur, Michael Ahrens of Decatur, Brenda Vest and husband Dan of Decatur, Jill Coffman and husband Kevin of Macon, Kerri Simpson and husband Brad of Mt. Zion, Shannon Aukamp and husband Matt of Macon and Susanne Apke of Decatur, uncle and aunt: Hank and Audrey Ahrens of California, twenty two nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends Penny and Jimmy Kraft and mom Kraft
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: James and Mary Patterson and paternal grandparents: Ernest and Stella Ahrens, infant brother Garry, special friend: Raymond Kraft and by her long time companion: Linda Hall who recently passed away.
