Terry Bledsoe's Obituary
Terry Bledsoe Sr., 62, of Decatur passed away on Friday August 17, 2012 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Terry was born on July 27, 1950 in Decatur; the son of Don and Alberta (Preston) Bledsoe. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Maranatha Church. He loved to watch NASCAR and to go fishing. He worked for the City of Decatur as the Crew Chief of the lake division. He married Debra Hunter on May 5, 1976 in Decatur.
Terry leaves behind his wife, Debra; mother, Alberta Long of Decatur; sons, Terry Bledsoe Jr. (Kim) of Fresno, CA; Nathan Bledsoe (Brittney) of Decatur; daughter, Lindy Bledsoe (Bobby) of Decatur; sister, Donna Sperry (Carrol) of Decatur; grandchildren, Chance Bledsoe, Kelsie Taft, Eva Bledsoe, and Thomas Hancock.
He was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Leslie Ditty.
Funeral service to celebrate Terry's life will be 1 PM Tuesday August 21, 2012 in Maranatha Church, 555 West Imboden Drive, Decatur. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday in the Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to Cancer care Specialists of Central Illinois.
