I met Ted in 1969 when I was a freshman at Lakeview High School. We were in biology class together. He was so cute and nice and I truly loved him.
The things I remember most about Ted: Cruising Eldorado Street in a cool old Chevy, working at Quick Way grocery store, bowling at Pla-Mor Lanes, goofing off in the library study halls, being the fastest runner in boy’s PE class, going to dances in the school gym, talking on the phone every night with me, trading school photos, winning the Gary Harris art award and in later years, selling his artwork at the Yesteryear Fair.
He wrote on the backs of the photos that he gave me, “Please don’t ever forget me.” Well, even after 50-plus years, you can rest assured Ted, I never have, and I never will. And yes, now you can “Soar Forever Higher” sweetheart. Carol Reed
