NICHOLLS
HAMMOND- Thomas R. Nicholls, 70 of Hammond, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2010.
The family invites friends to gather at the Hammond Community Center on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM to celebrate and remember Tom's life. Memorials are suggested to the Hammond Fire Department. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Tom was born on April 28, 1940 in Decatur, a son of Raymond 'Bud' and Dorothy (Mott) Nichols. Tom served his country in the Army. Tom worked at P.P.G. Industries in Mt. Zion for 24 years and for Davis Security at Randall Research in Decatur. He married Donna (Wacaser) Stillabower on December 15, 1970 in Monticello.
Surviving are his wife Donna, sons- Scott Nicholls and wife Janice of Decatur, Jef Ribley and wife Michelle of Decatur, John Stillabower and wife Liza of St. Joseph, Steve Stillabower and wife Shannon of Champaign, daughter- Joan Runion of Blue Mound, sister- Debbie West and husband Dennis of Atwood, brother- Richard Nicholls and wife Anna Jean of Decatur, grandsons- Jason Carberry and wife Kayla of Mattoon, Justin Stillabower of Hammond, Dalton Nicholls of Decatur, and Braden Nicholls of Decatur, granddaughters- Lexi Stillabower of Champaign, Courtney, Cassie and Katie all of Blue Mound and three great grandchildren.
Tom was greeted in Heaven by his parents.
