Thomas Michael Schwesig's Obituary
Thomas Michael Schwesig, 68, of Decatur, passed away November 28, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Thomas was born in Decatur on February 15, 1953, the son of William and Kathryn (Sanders) Schwesig. He worked as a process operator for the A.E. Staley company. Thomas enjoyed photography, sports, and traveling, especially his trips to California to visit his sister.
Thomas is survived by his father William and stepmother Shirley; siblings William A. (Mark) Schwesig, Scott (Rebecca) Schwesig, Lori (Nick) Shaw, Julie Schwesig, Paul (Susan) Bushman, and Diane Bushman; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Thomas. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 6 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
