Thomas D. "Tommy" Isenberg's Obituary
Decatur – Thomas D. “Tommy” Isenberg passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior on August 16, 2018. Tom was born on June 6, 1943 to Ward and Eugenia (Douglas) Isenberg. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1961. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to play the banjo and spent long hours learning to play his favorite bluegrass songs. Tom also loved animals and his beloved dog, Bubby, was always by his side. He was an active member of Morningside Church of Christ.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Wade) Baumgartner, Jessica (Scott) Hansford, Julie (Judson) Rhodes, and Joni (Jonathan) Goulas, his brother, Michael, and his nine grandchildren.
His children invite those who knew and loved Tom to an informal celebration of his life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 3pm at Graceland Fairlawn funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s honor to Shults- Lewis Child & Family Services.
