Todd Hill's Obituary
Todd R. Hill, 45, of Decatur, died January 27, 2023, from a long battle of cancer.
He was born July 14, 1977, the son of John (Bump) and Paula (Elsea) Hill. He attended Argenta-Oreana Schools and graduated from Millikin. He worked for the family farm for many years. He loved to fish, watch the St. Louis Cardinals, investing and learning new things. He also loved to listen to music, play the guitar, talk to his friends, and watch TV and share Tik Tok videos. He loved to make you laugh and share funny videos. He loved his French Bulldog Freddie and Yadi.
Todd is survived by his parents John (Bump) and Paula of Decatur; his brother Aaron of Oreana; and his favorite nephew Jaice Hill of Oakley. He also leaves his maternal grandmother Alice Elsea and his paternal grandmother Jean Hill, both of Decatur. Todd is also survived by David Woodhall, Nate Sheppard, his other fishing buddies and close friends.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are being handled by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 3pm. Burial in Friends Creek Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. If out of state, please check St. Jude website for proper address for donations.
Todd, your long and courageous fight is over. You were a wonderful son. Rest in peace.
