Todd M. Kuenzel Sr.'s Obituary
Decatur – Todd M. Kuenzel Sr, 59, of Decatur, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024.
Todd was born October 17, 1964, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Donald E. and Merrilee A. (Quitzow) Kuenzel. Todd worked as a machinist alongside his father for many years.
Todd was always working on or tinkering with something in his spare time. He enjoyed swimming, hiking, camping and wandering around in the wilderness. Nature is where he found the most peace. He was adventurous and daring throughout his life with a passion for motor sports. Being around Todd was never boring to say the least.
Surviving is his children: Tia L. Kuenzel of Blue Mound, Katelyn (husband, Anthony) Lawrence of Mascoutah, and Todd M. Kuenzel Jr of Decatur; mother, Merrilee (husband, Nelson J. Lock) Kuenzel of Decatur; six grandchildren; and brother, Michael D. (wife, Jennifer) Kuenzel of PA.
Todd was preceded in death by his father Donald E. Kuenzel.
Private family services will be held. Donations in Todd’s memory may be directed to Cancer Care Specialists of IL, Cancer Center of Decatur or Macon County Animal Shelter.
