Tonda Marlene (Maltby) Gurley's Obituary
Tonda Marlene (Maltby) Gurley, 61, passed away at 8:49 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Tonda was born on March 8, 1965, in Clinton, Illinois the daughter of Franklin Charles Maltby and Betty Ann (Reed) Maltby.
Tonda loved watching her grandkids play sports as well as taking them fishing. She loved her family, her cats, live music, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her two children, Charles Bilbrey and wife Catherine “CJ” of Decatur, IL, and Tiffney Ann Elder and significant other Timothy Woods of Stantonville, TN; three grandchildren Raygan, Liam, and Shyann; one brother David Johnson and wife Cindy of Clinton, IL; one sister Goldie Edwards and husband Travis of Decatur, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Tonda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Sonya Maltby and Tonya Skowronski; as well as several uncles.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton, IL.
