Valerie Jean Shields' Obituary
Valerie Jean Shields, age 44, born January 26, 1977, to Shirley (Gordon) Thompson and Joseph Shields, left this earth to enter her forever home on June 29, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm, Monday, July 5 at Graceland-Fairlawn Funeral Home with a private burial the next day at the same location.
Valerie will be reunited with her mother, Shirley, father, Joseph, siblings: Teddy, Cindy, and Aaron; nephews Levi and Walley, and niece Heaven Leigh.
Valerie is survived by her 2 children, Breanda Shields and James Whitaker II, her siblings Rick (Debbie) Tucker, Brenda Johnson, Kathy (Carl) Hughes, Tammy (Marty) Bradshaw, Tom (Jamie) Tucker, and several step siblings.
Valerie was a kind, funny, family oriented woman. She loved her kids deeply and loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Valerie didn’t have grandkids but was blessed with great nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored. She was an avid animal lover and had many pets that she cared for deeply. She will be missed by all and will be loved “forever and alwayz”.
