Vickie Booth's Obituary
Vickie Brown (Booth), 71, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a great friend to many, entered her eternal home on Sunday, September 24, 2023.
Vickie was born on Thursday, August 28, 1952 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James Morris and Willieanne Gayles.
In 1964 she attended Cooley High School. On November 27, 1970, she married Virge Booth until he entered his eternal home in 2008.
Vickie formerly worked at Kelly’s Potato Chip factory. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, playing the lottery, listening to music, and watching her all-time favorite TV shows: Shazam, The Unmasked Singer, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, Steve Harvey, The Ellen Show, Basketball Wives, and Love and Hiphop.
Vickie leaves to cherish her memories: her children LaDonna Booth-Hart (Fletcher Hart) of Calumet City, Taurus Booth Sr. of Decatur, IL, and LaTasha Booth of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandchildren: Eric Booth, Demi Griffin, Taurus Jr. (Heather) Booth, Dominique Booth, and Sheonna (Chucky) Booth, all of Decatur, IL, Marquis Booth, and Lil Sterling of Calumet City, and Andrea and Monique of IL; great-grandchildren: Lil Eric, Brayden, Taurus III, Sterlynn, Tauren, Taurii, Marshawn, Korii, Kor’Riah, and Lamya; siblings: Donna (Bobby) Boclair, Marguerite (Cari) Bracey, and Donald (Yvonne) Gayles, all of Chicago, IL, Antone Morris, Hosanna Smith, Joanna Morris, Jessie Morris, Karen Morris, and Matthew Morris, all of Chicago, IL; aunt Cynthia Faulks and uncle Kennth Faulks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Willieanne Gayles, father James Morris, husband Virge Booth, sister Catherine Gayles, brothers Patrick Gayles, Jules (II) Gayles, Chacon Gayles, and Michael Daniels, and grandmother Vivian Bohannon.
Vickie will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed by family and friends.
Services for Vickie will be held on Friday, October 6, at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am. Homegoing service will begin at 11am. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
