Victor D. Riggen's Obituary
Victor D. Riggen, 81, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in McKinley Court.
Victor was born September 13, 1932 in Dana, Indiana, the son of Elmo H. and Louise (Keen) Riggen. He was a machinist at Caterpillar, and an avid gardener who also liked to work on lawnmowers. He married Lulu Mae Luallen on March 12, 1955. She preceded him in death on
December 8, 2013.
Victor leaves behind his sons Victor A. Riggen and wife Kay of Decatur, Michael L. Riggen of Decatur, and Rickey D. Riggen and wife Lori of Macon; brothers Larry Riggen and wife Mary Ann, Earl Riggen and wife Jeanette, Elmer Riggen and wife Julia, and Carl Elmo Riggen; sisters Pat Williams, and Sally Harpold and husband Ted; grandchildren Julie Riggen, Kim McCullough, Michael Riggen, Marshall Riggen, Abigail Riggen, Jackson Riggen, and Elijah Riggen.
He is reunited in Heaven with his wife, parents, and brother Donald Riggen.
Services to celebrate Victor’s life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Boody, IL.
