Viola Nail's Obituary
Viola Ethel Nail, 68, of Decatur went to be with her family in heaven at 5:30 pm, on the 4th day of June, 2011 in her home.
Viola was born on July 9th, 1942 in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Virgil and Elizabeth Bee Goble. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Vi Goble. Viola was an in home care provider until cancer took over. She enjoyed family and friends, crocheting and making things for others. Viola's generosity in helping others and her smile will be missed.
Viola leaves behind four daughters; Twanna, Twilla, Tieronna Carol, and Gwen, three sons; Danny, John 'Mike', and Eddie, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren for which she was very proud of, as well as her sister, Carolyn, and brothers; Elmer, Virgil Jr., and George, also a best friend, Helen Prous.
Viola will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, George Wm Nail, sister Vi, her parents, and daughter Kristie Mitchell of Paris.
The family of Viola would like to give special thanks to her Doctors, Ahmad Ahmad and Dr. Estrada Garcia, both of Decatur. They would also like to thank the caring staff at DMH and DMH Cancer Center for all of their compassionate care as well as to Mike Pound, owner of Claire's Family Restaurant and staff where Viola frequented, for their constant care and support.
Visitation for Viola will be 10:00 ' 11:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2011 Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to funeral home to help assist family with funeral arrangements. Graveside services 2:00 pm Wednesday in Oak Grove Cemetery in rural Paris, Illinois with Chaplin Tim Haworth officiating.
