Viola G. Wester's Obituary
Decatur-Viola G. Wester, 87, of Decatur, passed away Monday, September 02, 2013 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Viola was born November 2, 1925, in Beecher City, Illinois, the daughter of Sam and Bertha (Griffith) Sparr. She was a devout Christian all of her life and a great mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Moundford Free Methodist Church where served as the secretary for many years. She married Robert W. Wester July 16, 1946 in Decatur. He preceded her in death January 26, 2006.
She leaves behind her sons Charlie (Carye) Wester of Decatur and Joseph (Marsha) Wester of Springfield, Missouri, daughter Carol (Johnny) Beiler of Mt. Zion, sisters Lola (Bob) McNett of Decatur and Ellen Dunker of Mt. Zion, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, brothers Ralph, Gene, and Francis Sparr, sisters Lorraine Martin and Ola Cearlock, and grandson Robbie Beiler.
Mom will be sadly missed but is now at peace with her Lord.
Services to celebrate her life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
