Violeta R. Kunz's Obituary
Warrensburg-Violeta R. Kunz, 70, of Warrensburg, passed away 12:15 am Thursday, June 10, 2010 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Violeta's life will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes with Father Rick Weltin, Presider. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 pm on Monday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with a 5:30 pm Vigil Prayer service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Our Lady of Lourdes. Online memories and condolences may be shared with Violeta's family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Violeta was born on September 10, 1939 in Bauang La Union, Phillipines, the daughter of Victorio and Rosita (Aromin) Rivera. Violeta and William E. Kunz married on November 28, 1964 in San Fernando, Phillipines. Violeta had worked as a seamstress, a beautician, and retired from Aramark as a line inspector. Violeta was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, she enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her husband of 45 years William Kunz, Sr. of Warrensburg, two sons Anthony Kunz (Brandy Kunz) of Decatur and William (wife-Misty) Kunz, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters Christina (husband-Kevin) Balsley of Johnston, IA and Stephanie Kunz of West DesMoines, IA; three brothers Ramon Rivera of Los Angeles, CA, Eddie Rivera of the Phillipines, ElPidio of the Phillipines; five sisters Angelita Scribbick of PA, Esparanza Gagich of AZ, Aurora Nonog of Los Angeles, CA, Gloria Libatique of the Phillipines, Pacita Dumlao of the Phillipines; five grandchildren Austin Kunz, Chance Kunz, Anthony Kunz, Jr., Olivia Kunz, Isabella Balsley; 12 nieces and 7 nephews.
Violeta was preceded in death by her parents.
