Virginia L. Burnett's Obituary
Virginia L. Burnett, 88, of Forsyth, IL, formerly of Republic, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 in Hickory Point Christian Village.
Private family graveside services to celebrate Virginia's life will be at Springfield National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
Virginia was born July 23, 1923 in Duncan, Oklahoma. For many years she and her husband owned a resort on Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. She was an avid gardener, oil painter, and loved to read. She married Walter N. Burnett on January 5, 1945. He preceded her in death November 13, 1992.
She leaves behind her daughters Linda L. Baker and husband Kevin of Forsyth, IL, daughter Sandra S. Burnett and granddaughter Lacey March, and loving kitty Shadow.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, and one brother.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at DMH, Hickory Point Christian Village, and special friends Bob and Sally Crubaugh.
She was a loving wife, mom, and friend that will be deeply missed.
