Decatur – Virginia M. Greve, 86, of Decatur, passed away at 10:57 pm Friday, December 4, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 11, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor David Gessaman officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment with the “Flight Home” Ceremony will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Body of Christ of Buffalo, or God’s Abundant Love Fellowship in Long Creek, Illinois. Virginia was born October 12, 1923 in Dwight, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Laura (Brown) Greenlee. She married Lloyd J. Greve on September 12, 1946 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1992.
Virginia leaves behind one son: Lloyd ” Larry” (Vivian) Greve of Lubbock, Texas, one daughter: Jeanne (John) Joyce of Decatur, five grandchildren: Debbie (John) McKee, Beth Sausman, Jon (Ruth) Wattelet, Jeremy (Sheena) Greve, and Veronica Greve, nine great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Dylan McKee, Brooke, Joshua and Emma Sausman, Alex and James Wattelet, Cordell and Zachary Greve, and two nieces and one nephew.
She was reunited in Heaven with her husband: Lloyd, parents, grandparents, and two brothers: Anderson “Buster” Greenlee and Clarence “Tad” Greenlee.
