Virginia Kraus' Obituary
Virginia Kraus, 73, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Generations at McKinley Court.
Virginia was born August 9, 1944 in Lapeer, Michigan, the daughter of Russel and Lillian Kretzschmer. She was previously employed with McKinley Court as a Nurses Aid. Virginia enjoyed gardening, feeding her birds and squirrels, and Bingo. She married Michael Kraus August 24, 1991.
Virginia is survived by her husband Michael, children Paul wife Cyndi, William wife Lisa, and Todd wife Sachiko Larsen, grandchildren Keith, Kelsey, Tiffany, Andy, and Luke Larsen.
All of Virginia’s children, their wives, and grandchildren serve their community in either the military, nursing, teaching, fire fighters, paramedics, or nonprofits.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sara Larson, sister Rosemary Carey, and special friend Rose Barm.
Services to celebrate Virginia’s life will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 23, 2018 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
